Five Star Classic fires this weekend

This weekend we will still host the Five Star Classic at the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, IA. This race will be for any and all cars interested in getting in two more nights of racing action. It is October and the track last time we raced was very good and will be again this time. Plans are to race this Saturday and Sunday pit gates will open at noon with the first race slated for 2:00pm.

No entry fee will be required for this weekends races and drivers will just need pit passes. We will offer bonuses each day on car counts and if a driver can win both nights in all classes.

Saturday we will be running Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Tuners, and Outlaw Mini-Mods. Payouts below with bonuses.

Sunday we will be running the same six classes.

Payouts will be the same each day:

Modifieds: 1000, 600, 450, 350, 250, 225, 200, 180, 170, 160, 150, 140, 130, 125, 120, 115, 110 to start. If we get 22 or more cars we will add $100 to first and second and $20 more to start. If we get 30 or more Modifieds we will pay $1500 to win and every spot will drop one position so $1000 for second and so forth. If the Modified driver can win both nights $500 bonus to that driver.

B-Mods and Stock Cars 700, 450, 350, 300, 250, 200, 175, 150, 125, 120, 115, 110, 105, 100, 95, 90, 85, 80 to start. Same deal if we get 22 or more cars we will add $100 to top two and $20 more to start the race so $100 to start. If we can get 30 or more in either class we will pay $1,000 to win and $110 to start and second spot will be $700. If a driver can win both nights we will add $400 to that drivers winnings in either class.

Hobby Stocks: 500, 350, 250, 200, 170, 150, 130, 110, 100, 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60 to start. If we get 22 or more cars $100 to top two spots and $20 more to start so $80 to start the main event. If a driver can win both nights a $300 bonus!

Tuners and Outlaw Mini-Mods: Saturday: 200, 150, 100, 90, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40 to start. If we get 20 or more we will add $100 to top two and $50 to 3rd and $20 more to start. Sunday 300, 200, 150, 125, 100, 90, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50 to start. Same as above will add in either class with 20 or more cars. If a driver can win both nights a $200 bonus in either class.

Help spread the word and lets pack the pit area and grandstands one last time in 2021. We can promise you racetrack will be great both days a lot easier to prep a track in October than in July!

Everyone welcome either tire legal for this weekend and USRA Nationals Points will be given out no temp licenses required.
