Sunday, February 28, is the final day to purchase a 2021 USRA license before the cost increases by $20 on March 1, so America’s real racers competing in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series are encouraged to go online or call to get yours today.
All competitors at a USRA-sanctioned event must possess either a USRA competitor license or temporary license prior to participating in the event. USRA competitor licenses cannot be bought at the track—they must be purchased online at usraracing.com/register or by calling (515) 832-6000. Alternatively, drivers may purchase a temp license at the racetrack on race day for $10 which is valid for one (1) event only.
The cost of a USRA Competitor License is $130 for Modifieds, $110 for Stock Cars, $110 for Late Models, $100 for B-Mods, $100 for Limited Mods, $100 for Factory Stocks, $100 for Hobby Stocks and $60 for Tuners. All licenses fees will increase by $20 beginning one second after midnight on Monday, March 1.
Drivers competing in a USRA-sanctioned events are eligible to earn track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series from January 1 through the first week of November.
To be eligible for national points funds, a driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at any one USRA-sanctioned racetrack (minimum of 8 events with a minimum of 4 starts).
To be eligible for track points funds, driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at that racetrack for which the points funds are being awarded.
During the Summit USRA Nationals powered by MyRacePass and Summit USRA Southern Nationals, track and regional points will not be awarded for the divisions competing in those events, and national points will be awarded at those events only.
The 8th Annual Summit USRA Nationals powered by MyRacePass takes place October 7-9 at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The 4th Annual Summit USRA Southern Nationals takes place November 4-6 at the Big O Speedway in Ennis, Texas.
