The 2016 North Iowa Fair presented by Farmers State Bank is kicking it up several notches Thursday and Friday, July 21-22, as the Monster Truck Racing League comes to town for the Monster Truck Summer Nationals & Thrill Show presented by Lake Chevrolet and North Iowa Collision at the Mason City Motor Speedway.
Highlighting the event will be "The Original Monster Truck" BIGFOOT and the extremely popular Bounty Hunter, along with several other incredible, high-flying, car-crushing Monster Trucks such as Scarlet Bandit, Ice Cream Man, Red Solo Truck, Equalizer, Razin Kane and Tailgator!
Also on the card for both nights is a wild freestyle motocross show, the Top Dog Mini Monster Truck, plus ATV and UTV racing and the Tough Truck Challenge!
The Monster Meet & Greet is happening from 6-7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. both days.
General admission tickets are $20 and available at the show. Juniors ages 11-16 and seniors 65 and older get in for $10. Kids 10 and under are absolutely free.
On Saturday, July 23, don't miss the Xtreme Demolition Derby featuring full-sized vehicles, compacts and trucks. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. General admission is just $15. Juniors ages 11-16 and seniors 65 and older get in for $10. Kids 10 and under are free.
And then on Sunday, July 24, Pabst Blue Ribbon presents the Ted Zieman Memorial featuring Budweiser USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Rookies Rockin’ Tuners. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. General admission is just $10. Juniors ages 13-16 and seniors 65 and older get in for $8. Kids 12 and under are free.
The Mason City Motor Speedway is a semi-banked 1/2-mile clay oval located 5.1 miles east of I-35 at exit 194 on SR 122 (at the North Iowa Fairgrounds).
